While the information about Israel’s alleged attack on Iran is still conflicting with each other, effectively turning the whole affair into a farce, sources in Russia say that the attention to the incident in question, especially from American media that first reported the alleged strike, aims to disorient public opinion, so that it does not learn about yesterday’s important developments at the UN.
As it is reported, almost all the members of the Security Council voted in favor of the recognition of the state of Palestine and its membership in the United Nations, while at the same time the USA almost completely abstained!
“The United States has shown its true attitude towards the Palestinians by blocking the recommendation for the country’s membership in the UN. For Washington, the Palestinian people have ZERO right to their own state,” Russian Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenzia said.
“In essence it was a simple question: do the Palestinians deserve to be part of the world family, to participate fully in all the decisions of international life,” Nebenzia said. “By using the veto for the fifth time since the beginning of the escalation in Gaza, they have again shown their true attitude towards the Palestinians. To Washington, they don’t deserve a state of their own. They are only a roadblock to the realization of Israel’s interests,” the spokesman added.
“Today’s use of the veto by the US delegation is a desperate attempt to stop the inevitable course of history. The results of the vote, where Washington was essentially in complete isolation, speak for themselves,” Nebenzia stressed.
Earlier on Thursday, the UN Security Council met and discussed the proposed resolution on Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations. The United States, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, vetoed the adoption of the proposed resolution.
Everything shows that the subject of the Middle East will have many more episodes! What is certain is that the so-called events began to run there as well, with Russia taking on a leading diplomatic role, for the time being!

Ενώ ακόμα οι πληροφορίες για την φερόμενη επίθεση του Ισραήλ στο Ιράν συγκρούονται η μία με την άλλη, μετατρέποντας ουσιαστικά την όλη υπόθεση σε παρωδία, πηγές στην Ρωσία αναφέρουν πως η προσοχή στο εν λόγω συμβάν, ειδικά από αμερικανικά ΜΜΕ που μετέδωσαν πρώτα το φερόμενο πλήγμα, έχει ως σκοπό να αποπροσανατολίσει την κοινή γνώμη, ώστε να μην μάθει τις χθεσινές σημαντικές εξελίξεις στον Ο.Η.Ε.
Όπως μεταδίδεται, όλα σχεδόν τα μέλη του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας ψήφισαν υπέρ της αναγνώρισης κράτους της Παλαιστίνης και ένταξής του στα Ηνωμένα Έθνη, ενώ παράλληλα οι ΗΠΑ απομονώθηκαν σχεδόν πλήρως!
«Οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες έδειξαν την αληθινή τους στάση απέναντι στους Παλαιστίνιους, εμποδίζοντας την σύσταση για ένταξη της χώρας στον ΟΗΕ. Για την Ουάσιγκτον, ο παλαιστινιακός λαός δεν έχει δικαίωμα στο δικό του κράτος», δήλωσε ο Μόνιμος Αντιπρόσωπος της Ρωσίας Βασίλι Νεμπένζια.
.«Στην ουσία ήταν ένα απλό ερώτημα: αν οι Παλαιστίνιοι αξίζουν να είναι μέρος της παγκόσμιας οικογένειας, να συμμετέχουν πλήρως σε όλες τις αποφάσεις της διεθνούς ζωής», είπε ο Nebenzia. «Χρησιμοποιώντας το βέτο για πέμπτη φορά από την αρχή της κλιμάκωσης στην Γάζα, έδειξαν ξανά την αληθινή τους στάση απέναντι στους Παλαιστίνιους. Για την Ουάσιγκτον, δεν αξίζουν να έχουν ένα δικό τους κράτος. Αποτελούν μόνο εμπόδιο για ο δρόμος για την υλοποίηση των συμφερόντων του Ισραήλ», πρόσθεσε ο εκπρόσωπος.
“Η σημερινή χρήση του βέτο από την αντιπροσωπεία των ΗΠΑ είναι μια απελπιστική προσπάθεια να σταματήσει η αναπόφευκτη πορεία της ιστορίας. Τα αποτελέσματα της ψηφοφορίας, όπου η Ουάσιγκτον ήταν ουσιαστικά σε πλήρη απομόνωση, μιλούν από μόνα τους”, τόνισε ο Νεμπένζια.
Νωρίτερα την Πέμπτη, το Συμβούλιο Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ συνήλθε και συζήτησε το προτεινόμενο ψήφισμα για την πλήρη ένταξη της Παλαιστίνης στα Ηνωμένα Έθνη. Οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, που είναι μόνιμο μέλος του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ, άσκησαν βέτο κατά της έγκρισης του προτεινόμενου ψηφίσματος.
Όλα δείχνουν πως το θέμα της Μέσης Ανατολής θα έχει ακόμα πολλά επεισόδια! Το σίγουρο είναι πως τα λεγόμενα γεγονότα άρχισαν να τρέχουν και εκεί, με την Ρωσία να έχει αναλάβει πρωταγωνιστικό διπλωματικό, για την ώρα, ρόλο!
