Μια μεγάλη φορτηγίδα έπεσε στη γέφυρα του ποταμού Αρκάνσας, προκαλώντας ζημιές τόσο στο πλοίο όσο και στην κολόνα της γέφυρας
Νωρίτερα σήμερα το απόγευμα, λίγο πριν τις 13:30, μια μεγάλη φορτηγίδα έπεσε στη γέφυρα του ποταμού Αρκάνσας στη δεξαμενή Kerr στο Sallisaw της Οκλαχόμα, αναγκάζοντας τις αρχές να κλείσουν αμέσως τη γέφυρα. Μηχανικοί από το Τμήμα Μεταφορών της Οκλαχόμα πραγματοποίησαν επιθεώρηση και διαπίστωσαν ότι οι κολόνες της γέφυρας είχαν υποστεί κάποια ζημιά, αλλά τίποτα σοβαρό ή σημαντικό. Περίπου δύο ώρες αργότερα, διαπίστωσαν ότι ήταν ασφαλές να ανοίξει ξανά η γέφυρα. Ευτυχώς, κανείς δεν τραυματίστηκε. μόνο η φορτηγίδα υπέστη σοβαρές ζημιές στο μπροστινό μέρος.

Μια άλλη φορτηγίδα πέφτει στη γέφυρα του αυτοκινητόδρομου 59 (ή στην γέφυρα του ποταμού Αρκάνσας) στο Salisaw της Οκλαχόμα!!!
Τι συμβαίνει? Και γιατί αυτές οι εταιρείες φορτηγίδων δεν ζητούν από τις ασφαλιστικές τους εταιρείες αποζημίωση, και γιατί την ευθύνη για αυτό την ρίχνουν στις πλάτες των φορολογουμένων των ΗΠΑ;;;

#BREAKING: A large barge crashed into the Arkansas River bridge, causing damage to both the ship and the bridge pillar
Earlier this evening, just before 1:30 p.m., a large barge crashed into and struck the Arkansas River bridge at the Kerr Reservoir in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, forcing authorities to immediately close the bridge. Engineers from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation conducted an inspection and found that the bridge pillars had sustained some damage, but nothing severe or major. Around two hours later, they determined that it was safe to reopen the bridge. Fortunately, no one was injured; only the barge sustained heavy damage to the front.

OKLAHOMA (KOKH) — UPDATE:
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) reported at 3:25 P.M. that US-59 is open.
Engineers reportedly inspected the structure and found it safe to reopen.
ORIGINAL STORY:
All lanes of US-59 are closed at the Arkansas River, south of Sallisaw near the Sequoyah/LeFlore County line due to a barge striking the bridge.
Officials with Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) closed all lanes of US-59 at 1:25 P.M. on Saturday and estimate that closures will last several hours.
