Rep. Massie Challenges Pelosi After Threat To Arrest Non-Maskers: “Arrest My Entire Staff. We Are Not Wearing Masks.”
‘I support the Capitol Hill Police, but the Chief of Police made a mistake here.’
Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie (R) threw down the gauntlet over the re-imposition of mask rules Thursday, challenging Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to arrest his staff, who aren’t about to put on face masks.
Responding to the new tyrannical edict announced in a Capitol Police bulletin Thursday, which subjects non-mask wearing visitors and staffers who refuse to wear a mask to arrest, Rep. Massie argued they might as well go to his office and arrest his unmasked staff.
“This is INSANE,” Massie wrote on Twitter.
This is INSANE. Might as well come into my office and arrest my entire staff. We are not wearing masks. I support the Capitol Hill Police, but the Chief of Police made a mistake here. The physician and the chief of police don’t have this authority. https://t.co/CgiSuNvE8c

“Might as well come into my office and arrest my entire staff. We are not wearing masks,” Massie declared, adding, “I support the Capitol Hill Police, but the Chief of Police made a mistake here. The physician and the chief of police don’t have this authority.”
On Thursday, Pelosi’s goons inside the US Capitol Police announced visitors and staff who visit the Capitol grounds without a face mask and who refuse to wear one after being asked are subject to arrest.
“If a visitor or staff member fails to wear a mask after a request is made to do so, the visitor or staff shall be denied entry to the House Office Buildings or House-side of the U.S. Capitol,” the bulletin, posted to social media by Rep. Kat Cammack, states.
“Any person who fails to either comply [with the mask mandate] or leave the premises after being asked to do so would be subject to an arrest for Unlawful Entry, D.C. Code §22-3302.”
The memo notably excludes unmasked staffers who are “accompanying a [House] Member,” an instance which “should be noted and reported to a supervisor who will, in turn, refer the matter to the House Sergeant at Arms.”
Last month, Massie dressed down a reporter for asking if he’d been vaccinated, saying he won’t take the vaccine until more research is complete.
