APRIL 6: DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF THE PERSECUTION OF THE GREEKS OF EASTERN THRACE
The persecution of the Greeks of Eastern Thrace included harassment, murders and violent expulsions both to Greece and to the interior of Asia Minor.
Of the 100,000 forcibly deported to the interior of Asia Minor in 1915, only half were to survive and return to their homes after WW1.
In 1922, those Greeks who still remained in Eastern Thrace were forcibly deported by the Kemalists to Greece thus completing their fate.
LEST WE FORGET.

NEVER FORGET – In Memory of the 1.4 to 1.7 million Ottoman Greeks (Rûm), from both the Patriarchates of Constantinople & Antioch, who were murdered between the years of 1914 and 1923.
We shall never forget, We shall never forgive!
Ρωμιός γεννήθηκα, Ρωμιός θα πεθάνω
Rûm Doğdum, Rûm Öleceğim
ولدت رومياً ، وسأدفن رومياً
