ΣΟΥΠΕΡ ΜΠΟΥΜ!!! – Ευρέθη εν Ισραήλ επιγραφή ελληνιστί 1.500 ετών «Χριστός εκ Μαρίας ετέχθη»!!!

Οι αρχαιολόγοι που ανασκάπτουν στο χωριό et-Taiyiba, που βρίσκεται στην κοιλάδα του Megiddo (γνωστή και ως κοιλάδα Jezreel), ανακάλυψαν μια επιγραφή που φέρει το όνομα «Χριστός εκ Μαρίας ετέχθη» («Ο Χριστός, γεννθείς από τη Μαρία»).
Σύμφωνα με τη χριστιανική εσχατολογία, η κοιλάδα θεωρείται η τοποθεσία για την τελική μάχη μεταξύ των δυνάμεων του καλού και του κακού, που συνήθως αναφέρεται ως Αρμαγεδδών. Ο όρος «Αρμαγεδδών» προέρχεται από το εβραϊκό «Har Megiddo», που σημαίνει «Όρος Megiddo».
Η πέτρινη επιγραφή είναι χαραγμένη στα ελληνικά και βρέθηκε στην είσοδο ενός κτηρίου που χρονολογείται στα τέλη του 5ου μ.Χ. αιώνα, το οποίο αργότερα ενσωματώθηκε σε μεταγενέστερη κατασκευή από τη βυζαντινή ή την πρώιμη ισλαμική περίοδο.
Οι ανασκαφές της κατασκευής εντόπισαν επίσης δύο δωμάτια με ψηφιδωτό δάπεδο διακοσμημένο με γεωμετρικά σχέδια.
Η Δρ Leah Di-Segni, ερευνήτρια στο Ινστιτούτο Αρχαιολογίας του Εβραϊκού Πανεπιστημίου της Ιερουσαλήμ, είπε ότι η επιγραφή είναι αφιερωμένη στον Ιησού, τον Υιό της Μαρίας, η οποία αναφέρει: «Ο Χριστός γεννήθηκε από τη Μαρία. Το έργο αυτό του θεοσεβέστερου και ευσεβέστατου επισκόπου [Θεόδο]σιου και του άθλιου Θ[ομά] κτίσθηκε εκ θεμελίωσης. Όποιος μπαίνει να προσευχηθεί γι’ αυτούς».
Ο Θεοδόσιος, τον οποίο το κείμενο αναφέρεται ως ιδρυτής του κτιρίου, ήταν ένας από τους πρώτους χριστιανούς επισκόπους στην περιοχή και είχε θρησκευτική εξουσία στην πόλη Bet She’an που χρησίμευε ως πρωτεύουσα της βυζαντινής επαρχίας Palaestina Secunda.
Σύμφωνα με τους ερευνητές, η επιγραφή έχει σκοπό να παρέχει προστασία από το κακό μάτι και έχει βρεθεί σε άλλες τοποθεσίες από όλο τον βυζαντινό κόσμο.
Ο Δρ Walid Atrash της Ισραηλινής Αρχής Αρχαιοτήτων (IAA) είπε: «Αυτή είναι η πρώτη απόδειξη της ύπαρξης της βυζαντινής εκκλησίας στο χωριό et-Taiyiba και προστίθεται σε άλλα ευρήματα που πιστοποιούν τις δραστηριότητες των χριστιανών που ζούσαν στην περιοχή.

1,500-year-old “Christ, born of Mary” inscription in Greek found in Israel!!!

Archaeologists excavating in the village of et-Taiyiba, located in the Valley of Megiddo (also known as the Jezreel Valley), have uncovered an inscription bearing the name “Christ, born of Mary”.
According to Christian eschatology, the valley is considered the location for the ultimate battle between the forces of good and evil, commonly referred to as Armageddon. The term “Armageddon” is derived from the Hebrew “Har Megiddo,” meaning ‘Mount Megiddo.’
The stone inscription is engraved in Greek and was found in a doorway entrance to a building that dates to the late 5th century AD, which was later incorporated into a later structure from the Byzantine or Early Islamic period.
Excavations of the structure have also identified two rooms containing mosaic flooring decorated with geometric designs.
Dr Leah Di-Segni, a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, said that the inscription is a dedicatory to Jesus, the Son of Mary, which states: “Christ born of Mary. This work of the most God-fearing and pious bishop [Theodo]sius and the miserable Th[omas] was built from the foundation . Whoever enters should pray for them.”
Theodosius, whom the text refers to as the building’s founder, was one of the first Christian bishops in the region and had religious authority of the city of Bet She’an which served as the capital of the Byzantine province of Palaestina Secunda.
According to the researchers, the inscription is intended to provide protection from the evil eye and has been found at other sites from across the Byzantine world.
Dr Walid Atrash of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) said, “This is the first evidence of the Byzantine church’s existence in the village of et-Taiyiba, and it adds to other finds attesting to the activities of Christians who lived in the region.
