House prices In many regions, property values are still less than half what they were in 2007. Yet the Bank of Greece reports that average apartment prices rose 1.3% between January and September 2018, compared to a decline of 1.2% during the same period in 2017.
The Durrells The final series of the ITV show, based on Gerald Durrell’s Corfu trilogy, was watched by 4m viewers. Estate agents say prices on the Ionian island have increased by up to 20% in the past five years.
Just beachy Greece takes second place, out of 47 countries, in the Blue Flag awards 2019, with 515 of its beaches judged to be “high quality”.
