#Facebook and #Israel to work together to monitor posts
A senior Israeli cabinet minister confirmed that the Israeli government and Facebook would be working together to monitor posts they say are inciting violence.
Israel’s interior minister Gilad Erdan and justice minister Ayelet Shaked took part in a meeting earlier this week with Facebook officials who were in Israel. They agreed to set up teams and determine how to monitor and remove content they regard as inappropriate.
In a statement, Facebook said “online extremism can only be tackled with a strong partnership between policymakers, civil society, academia and companies, and this is true in Israel and around the world”.” – Guardian
