Trump Sends Letter To All 50 Governors With ‘New Guidelines’
The Trump administration has been implementing their strategy to combat the damage done to the health of the economy during the current coronavirus crisis. ABC News reported on President Trump’s most recent “Coronavirus Guidelines for America”, a letter to the nation’s governors highlighting the strategies and goals of the the next 15 days.

President Trump suggested expanded testing capabilities, faster results and data monitoring will lead to relaxed social distancing and a portion of the economy to return to work.
According to ABC News, President Trump stated to the coronavirus task force this week that “large sections of our country” can most likely return to “normal”.
Unemployment requests have reached expected record high number and a majority of the nation’s workforce remains isolated, President Trump has been under pressure to enforce a federal shutdown, but he continues to entrust that power with the governors of each state.
ABC News reported on the new objectives of the Trump Administration as the numbers of positive cases in the U.S. continues to rise.
In a new letter to the nation’s governors, President Trump says his administration is working on revising social distancing restrictions through a system potentially classifying U.S. counties as high-risk, medium-risk or low-risk.
“Americans across the country are hoping the day will soon arrive when they can resume their normal economic, social, and religious lives,” Trump said. “In furtherance of this shared goal, my Administration is working to publish new guidelines for state and local policymakers to use in making decisions about maintaining, increasing, or relaxing social distancing and other mitigation measures they have put in place.”
The letter went on to say that data from “robust surveillance testing” would be used by the administration to “suggest guidelines characterizing counties high-risk, medium-risk or low-risk.”
Many of these strategies take weeks before an impact can be measured. President Trump is scheduled to appear at a press conference on Thursday to address to the state of the nation’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
