Η σουηδική κυβέρνηση ανακοίνωσε την Πέμπτη ότι τα δελτία καυσίμων θα μπορούσε σύντομα να καταστούν απαραίτητα, αναφέροντας τον πόλεμο στο Ιράν ως «σημαντικό αντίκτυπο» στην οικονομία της χώρας.
Σε συνέντευξη Τύπου, ο πρωθυπουργός Ulf Kristersson δήλωσε ότι προς το παρόν δεν υπάρχουν σχέδια για την εισαγωγή δελτίου, αλλά η κυβέρνηση είναι προετοιμασμένη εάν αλλάξει η κατάσταση. Πρόσθεσε ότι το κοινό θα ενημερωθεί πολύ νωρίτερα εάν εφαρμοστούν τέτοια μέτρα.
Ο Kristersson σημείωσε επίσης ότι οι οικονομικές επιπτώσεις του πολέμου έχουν κλιμακωθεί, μετατοπίζοντας από αυτό που προηγουμένως θεωρούνταν «περιορισμένος αντίκτυπος» σε «σημαντικό αντίκτυπο».
Η Daily Mail αναφέρει: Ο Kristersson δήλωσε ότι για τη Σουηδία υπάρχει πλέον κίνδυνος υψηλότερου πληθωρισμού και επιβράδυνσης της ανάπτυξης.
«Αυτή είναι η χειρότερη κρίση εδώ και πολύ, πολύ καιρό, όσον αφορά την ενέργεια», δήλωσε η υπουργός Οικονομικών Elisabeth Svantesson στη συνέντευξη Τύπου.
Η κυβέρνηση έχει ήδη λάβει μέτρα για να μετριάσει τις οικονομικές επιπτώσεις της σύγκρουσης στα νοικοκυριά, συμπεριλαμβανομένων δραστικών μειώσεων στους φόρους στη βενζίνη και το ντίζελ.
Δεν παρουσίασε κανένα νέο μέτρο την Πέμπτη, αλλά η Σβάντεσον δήλωσε ότι εάν ο πόλεμος συνεχιστεί, «η δελτίωση καυσίμων θα μπορούσε να είναι μια πιθανότητα, αλλά πρώτα θα εκδώσουμε μια σύσταση για εξοικονόμηση καυσίμων» και θα δώσουμε προτεραιότητα στις δημόσιες συγκοινωνίες.
Η Σουηδία μπορεί επίσης να χρειαστεί να αυξήσει τη δική της παραγωγή ενέργειας, είπε, επικαλούμενη την ηλιακή, αιολική, υδροηλεκτρική και πυρηνική ενέργεια.
Η κυβέρνηση δήλωσε ότι θα παρουσιάσει μια ενημερωμένη οικονομική πρόγνωση την 1η Μαΐου.
Η κίνηση της Σουηδίας έρχεται σε μια στιγμή που μια αντιπαράθεση στο Στενό του Ορμούζ, την πύλη για περίπου το ένα πέμπτο του παγκόσμιου πετρελαίου και φυσικού αερίου, έχει οδηγήσει σε άνοδο των τιμών του πετρελαίου και του φυσικού αερίου και έχει επηρεάσει τις οικονομίες σε όλο τον κόσμο.
Οι παγκόσμιες ανησυχίες για την ενεργειακή ασφάλεια έχουν αυξηθεί, ωθώντας ορισμένες χώρες να εφαρμόσουν στρατηγικές μετριασμού τον Μάρτιο για την καταπολέμηση των αυξανόμενων τιμών των καυσίμων.
Η Αίγυπτος ανακοίνωσε τον περασμένο μήνα ότι τα καταστήματα, τα εστιατόρια και τα εμπορικά κέντρα θα κλείνουν νωρίς κάθε βράδυ για τουλάχιστον ένα μήνα για την καταπολέμηση του κόστους, ενώ η Σρι Λάνκα εισήγαγε τετραήμερη εργάσιμη εβδομάδα για εξοικονόμηση καυσίμων.
Και το Μπαγκλαντές επέβαλε κυλιόμενες διακοπές ρεύματος και προσάρμοσε τα ωράρια των αργιών, ενώ οι Φιλιππίνες περιόρισαν τα μη απαραίτητα ταξίδια για τους εργαζόμενους του δημόσιου τομέα.
Εν τω μεταξύ, η Σλοβενία έγινε το πρώτο κράτος μέλος της ΕΕ που εισήγαγε δελτίο καυσίμων για την αντιμετώπιση των ελλείψεων που προκλήθηκαν από τη συσσώρευση αποθεμάτων λόγω του πολέμου στο Ιράν.
Ο ανεφοδιασμός καυσίμων σε μεμονωμένα πρατήρια καυσίμων περιορίστηκε σε 50 λίτρα την ημέρα για ιδιωτικά οχήματα και 200 λίτρα για εταιρείες και άλλους χρήστες προτεραιότητας, όπως οι αγρότες.
Την περασμένη εβδομάδα, ένας πρώην επικεφαλής της BP δήλωσε ότι οι υπουργοί στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο θα πρέπει να ενθαρρύνουν την εργασία από το σπίτι εν μέσω επικείμενων ελλείψεων.

It did not present any new measures on Thursday, but Svantesson said that if the war drags on, ‘fuel rationing could be a possibility, but first we would issue a recommendation to conserve fuel’ and prioritise public transport.
Sweden may also need to increase its own energy production, she said, citing solar, wind, hydro and nuclear power.
The government said it would present an updated economic prognosis on May 1.
The move by Sweden comes as a standoff in the Strait of Hormuz, the gateway for around a fifth of the world’s oil and gas, has led to soaring oil and gas prices and affected economies around the world.
Global concerns over energy security have been rising, prompting some countries to implement mitigating strategies back in March to combat surging fuel prices.
Egypt last month announced that shops, restaurants and shopping malls will close early each night for at least a month to combat costs, while Sri Lanka introduced a four-day working week to conserve fuel.
And Bangladesh imposed rolling blackouts and adjusted holiday schedules, while the Philippines limited non-essential travel for public sector workers.
Meanwhile, Slovenia became the first EU member state to introduce fuel rationing to tackle shortages caused by stockpiling due to the Iran war.
Fuelling at individual service stations was restricted to 50 litres per day for private vehicles and 200 litres for companies and other priority users such as farmers.
Last week, a former BP boss said ministers in the UK should encourage working from home amid looming shortages.
