In late 2015, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown stated that the theme of Davos will be the fourth industrial revolution.
This all-consuming revolution will happen 1,000 times faster than the first industrial revolution and will affect all services, all products, all countries, all industries and all people, Brown said on camera.
The revolution will lead to job destruction, so we need to think about the jobs of the future and how to create them. It will transform how we deliver services and how governments work, Brown said.
“Klaus Schwab set out all of this in his speech in Abu Dhabi at the Agenda Council summit,” said the ex-Prime Minister. This summit is organized by the World Economic Forum in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.

Schwab himself said that the fourth industrial revolution “will affect every aspect of our lives”. It will not only change the way we communicate, how we produce and how we consume, but also our own identity, according to Schwab.
This revolution will come at us with “breathtaking speed”, said Schwab, who even spoke of a “tsunami”. There will not only be a digital revolution, but also a physical – nanotechnology – and biological revolution.
