Trump Calls On Justice Department to Investigate Ilhan Omar Over Illegal Ballot Scam

President responds as Democrat’s allies exposed in ballot harvesting racket

 on 28th September 2020 @ 5.00pm

President Donald Trump has called on the Department of Justice to launch an investigation after an alleged illegal ballot harvesting racket, involving Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) allies, was exposed in Minnesota.

The criminal scheme was paying workers to illegally gather absentee ballots from elderly Somali immigrants, as Neon Nettle previously reported.

The racket was revealed following a bust by undercover news organization Project Veritas found.

Shockingly, Liban Mohamed – one of the alleged ballot harvesters – is shown in a bombshell Snapchat video boasting about his voter fraud crimes while rifling through piles of ballots strewn across his car’s dashboard.

Mohamed is the brother of Minneapolis city council member Jamal Osman, a Democrat.

“I have 300 ballots in my car right now,” Mohamed brags in the video while declaring that “money is everything.”

President Donald Trump took to Twitter just after midnight on Monday to demand that the Justice Department investigates Omar for the alleged ballot harvesting scam.

This is totally illegal,” the president tweeted on Monday morning.

“Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds, under serious review???

“If not, why not???

“We will win Minnesota because of her, and law enforcement.

“Saved Minneapolis & Iron O Range!”

Trump was reacting on Monday to the exposé from investigative journalist James O’Keefe of Project Veritas.

According to O’Keefe, Mohamed, a Minneapolis resident, illegally collected some 300 ballots from primarily Somali immigrants to help his brother, City Councilman Jamal Osman.

On Twitter, Mohamed claimed O’Keefe doctored the video and that the voice heard on the Project Veritas is not his, as is claimed, according to The Daily Mail.

Omar is one of four radical-left Democratic congresswomen known collectively as The Squad.”

The others are House Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York; Rashida Tlaib of Michigan; and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts.

Last week, Omar hit out at Trump after he blasted her at one of his campaign rallies.

“Firstly, this is my country and I am a member of the House that impeached you,” the Minnesota lawmaker tweeted.

“Secondly, I fled civil war when I was 8,” she added.

“An 8-year-old doesn’t run a country even though you run our country like one.”

Minnesota is considered a key swing state in the upcoming presidential election.

According to the latest polls compiled by the news site FiveThirtyEight, Trump’s Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, has a six-point lead in the state.

O’Keefe and Project Veritas are accusing Democrats engaging in rampant voter fraud.

Jared Edge, the chief legal officer for Project Veritas, said that Mohamed and other ballot harvesters could face heavy penalties for their alleged violations of the law.

“The federal laws, 18 USC §597 and 52 USC §10307(c), are quite clear,” he said.

“In the case of 18 USC §597, it is punishable by up to two years in prison and in the case of 52 USC §10307 it’s punishable by up to $10,000 in fines and up to five years in prison.”

The Minnesota statute 211B.13(1) prohibits paying a person or receiving money to register to vote or to vote, he said.

“This is a state felony punishable by more than one-year imprisonment.”
