Cyprus to Require ‘Coronapass’ for Church, Shops, Restaurants
The government of Cyprus has announced a new round of draconian COVID rules, many of which are tied to the rollout of a ‘coronavirus passport,’ according to reports.
Residents of the European nation, which lies on an island in the Mediterranean Sea, have been living under extremely oppressive mandates which even required them to receive permission to leave their homes via text message (SMS).
Starting on May 10, Cypriots will have to present a ‘Coronapass’ in order to regain a fraction of the liberties that have been stolen from them under the guise of ‘containing the spread of COVID.’
“The cabinet on Wednesday night decided to reopen most closed businesses and to introduce a so-called Coronapass for people to be allowed into hospitality venues, churches, gyms, shops and other places starting Monday, while keeping an overnight curfew. No SMSs will need to be sent as of Monday,” the Cyprus Mail reports.
“A Coronapass entails either having a 72-hour-old negative PCR/rapid test for Covid or having received at least one dose of a vaccine three weeks earlier or having contracted the virus in the past six months.”
The Coronapass will be required for entry into places of worship, large supermarkets, shops, hotels, restaurants, and in many other places and cases.
People entering most schools will need to provide the Coronapass or a negative COVID test result no older than 72 hours.
“Mass gatherings, protests, parades, concerts, outdoor fairs, and festivals in public and private areas are banned,” the government decreed.
Capacity for most businesses, shops, and events such as weddings and funerals will remain heavily reduced.
“For an island that bravely fought against larger and mightier foes in recent, living memory, it is tragic to see how quickly Cyprus has succumbed to globalism. The nation is fraught with paranoia and fear about COVID-19, drilled into them by the mainstream media,” a source in Cyprus told Infowars Europe.
“The government launched the most draconian ‘SMS campaign,’ restricting the citizenry’s movement and demanding they beg their overlords for permission to leave their homes. It has now decided to extend its assault on civil rights by ordering that a ‘COVID pass’ is needed to simply visit malls, restaurants, or cafes.”
Many other countries in Europe and beyond have begun implementing ‘vaccine passports’ or plan to do so soon.
