The Arizona Health Dept. has enlisted volunteers in Phoenix to conduct door-to-door sweeps of neighborhoods to register residents to receive the experimental Covid-19 vaccine.

The tactic was documented by Fox 10 Phoenix over the weekend, when one such volunteer showed up at a residence unannounced, prompting the resident to call the police.

“I was concerned after he left because I hadn’t heard of people coming around,” said Phoenix resident Peri Raygors, claiming she thought she’d been scammed.

According to Fox 10, while the effort was not widely promoted, the volunteer was indeed with the Arizona Department of Health Services, which said it was conducting a “high-intensity” outreach campaign to vaccinate people in the 85009 zip code.

“In about a week, volunteers have registered 400 residents in the area to get their dose,” reports Fox10 Phoenix.

The suspiciously invasive effort was met with skepticism on Facebook.
