On this segment from the Christmas Eve transmission of The Joe Rogan Experience, former NYT reporter Alex Berenson exposed the suspect way COVID-19 deaths are being calculated.

Berenson, who has written multiple books exposing COVID-19 that were censored by Amazon, explained to Joe how people dying “with” COVID are being labeled as people dying “from” COVID when in reality, it’s often difficult to distinguish.

He also described the process of PCR tests, which are set to detect such small viral loads that the individual may not be infected enough to transmit the virus in the first place.

Infowars covered this in a September 1st article quoting Harvard epidemiologist Dr. Michael Mina, who said, “Tests with thresholds so high may detect not just live virus but also genetic fragments, leftovers from infection that pose no particular risk — akin to finding a hair in a room long after a person has left.”

“I’m shocked that people would think that 40 (cycles) could represent a positive,” a virologist at the University of California, Riverside named Juliet Morrison concurred.

Mina and Morrison agreed on a lower threshold of at least 30, which would mean a person being tested for coronavirus would need up to 1,000-fold the amount of genetic material currently needed to confirm a “positive” test result.

Moving on, Berenson told Rogan people who test positive with COVID, even if asymptomatic, that end up dying within a month of the positive test are added to the COVID death count regardless of what actually killed them.

“So, you’re saying if you have this tiny amount of COVID in your system, you never wind end up getting sick, but yet you have a heart attack a couple weeks later, they will still call that a ‘COVID death’ even though you never got sick from COVID?” Rogan asked.

“100 percent,” Berenson answered. “The idea is to capture deaths as broadly as possible… We don’t do this with any other illness.”

Regarding the PCR cycle threshold that ensures even those with infinitesimal amounts of the virus are labeled “positive,” Berenson said, “They could have set the PCR threshold lower. They could have set it at 30.”

Suggesting it may be a good thing if asymptomatic people are found to have COVID go on to quarantine and not spread the virus, Rogan asked, “Isn’t there a significant amount of spread from asymptomatic people?”

This is a common myth pushed by the medical establishment, however, a new study of 10 million people in Wuhan, China – ground zero for the COVID virus – showed that asymptomatic spread of COVID does not occur, nullifying all reasoning for business closures and lockdowns.

“Asymptomatic spread looks to be very rare,” Berenson told Rogan.
