4.0-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Athens
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, an earthquake which shook Attica on Tuesday morning had a strength of 4 on the Richter scale.
Experts believe that the tremor was part of the aftershock activity, related to the a stronger quake that hit the region more than a month ago.
The epicenter of the quake was located a few miles northwest of Athens, near of the town of Magoula.
The earthquake struck at 09:30 local time on Monday and had a focal depth of just 2 kilometers (1.5 miles), which is considered very shallow.
