As part of regular exercises conducted between the US Marines and their Greek counterparts, about 300 US Special Forces have arrived in Volos to take part in joint exercises.

The joint efforts focus on military and security matters.

This year there are some 300 marines from the United States’ Marine Expeditionary Unit who are participating with Greece’s 32nd Marine Brigade to execute the joint excercise named “Alexander the Great”.
